A modern black single-story SQUARED container home in a misty forest
— Dignity Through Design

“Build it your way. Keep the change.”

Save thousands in delays. Go from dream to plan with confidence and direction.

// The problem

The middle class has been priced out of the American dream.

$420K

Median U.S. home price.
Out of reach for most families.
12+ mo

Average build timeline.
Two years of rent, paid to someone else.
30 yr

Standard mortgage.
A lifetime of payments to own the walls.

You work. You save. You do everything right. And every year the door closes a little more. SQUARED exists to open it back up.

// The SQUARED way

A real home. In months, not years. For a fraction of the cost.

Shipping containers are the strongest residential building unit ever mass-produced. We turn them into modern, engineered, code-compliant homes — and we hand you the keys without handing you a 30-year sentence.

// How it works

Three steps to your keys.

Plan & Design

Pick a configuration or design custom. Engineering, permits, off-grid systems — all sequenced.

Build & Move In

Containers arrive, foundation goes down, finishes go in. Most builds: 4–9 months. Move in.

SQ.PILOT.001 // 640 SF // OFF-GRID // OPENSPACE, TX

This isn't theory. We've already built one.

Two 40' high-cube shipping containers. 640 square feet. Single-story. Fully off-grid. Operational since day one.

// The founder

Civil engineer. Developer. Builder.

Dee Biggers spent 20 years in construction before founding SQUARED. A Prairie View A&M civil engineer who once lived in a converted shipping container while standing with America in Afghanistan — and came home knowing exactly what he wanted to build.

// Before you ask

The questions everyone asks first.

Q.01

Will the bank finance it?

Yes — when the project is permitted and code-compliant. Container homes qualify for standard residential lending. Part of what we do is make sure your project is structured to get there. We don't cut corners that cost you financing.

Q.02

Is it actually cheaper?

Done right, container construction runs 40–60% less per square foot than conventional stick-built. Done wrong, it costs more than either. That gap is exactly where our consulting pays for itself.

Q.03

How long does it take?

A well-planned container build runs 4–9 months from ground-break to keys — versus 12+ for traditional construction. The timeline lives or dies in the planning phase. That's where we come in.

Q.04

Where can I build one?

Most of the country — but zoning is where projects go to die quietly. Every engagement starts with a zoning red-flag scan so you never close on land you can't build on.

Q.05

Do you build for clients?

No. SQUARED develops our own projects. What we offer is consulting — site analysis, design guidance, permitting strategy, and builder vetting. We're selective about who we work with, because the projects we attach our name to have to be done right.
